StarCare Specialty Health System (StarCare) is seeking a full time Staff Development Trainer to join its outstanding Human Resources team. This position plays a vital role in enhancing employee performance and ensuring compliance with training standards across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all New Employee Orientation (NEO) activities and communications.
- Assign, instruct and certify completion of required training for new employees, contractors and volunteers prior to their work site assignment, including First Aid, CPR, Van Driving, SAMA, and other mandatory position specific computer-based training.
- Schedule and conduct refresher training sessions to maintain employee competency and compliance with agency and funding source requirements.
- Track and notify supervisors and employees of upcoming training requirements using appropriate communication methods (e.g., phone, email, Teams).
- Prepare and distribute training calendars and agendas to communicate upcoming sessions.
- Set up and maintain training environments, including classrooms and necessary equipment.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation within SmartCare, HRIS, and Relias systems in accordance with agency protocols, and submit required documentation to sponsoring agencies for continuing education credit processing.
- Maintain all required instructor certifications to remain eligible to deliver and certify training programs.
- Manage the Relias & HRIS training systems structure and assign/track training for new hires and internal employee position changes.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and agency staff to support training program success.
- Assist with coordination of the application, onboarding, and hours tracking for all Center volunteers, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation.
- Support all activities in alignment with StarCare’s mission, values, and operational goals.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work hours.
- Ensure all required training and credentials are current and compliant with Center, federal, state, and local regulations, and in addition to StarCare policies and procedures.
- Complete special departmental projects and other responsibilities with similar skill and work conditions as assigned.
Essential Duties:
- This role requires physical capability to lead active training sessions and the ability to maintain all necessary certifications.
Schedule: This is a full-time/non-exempt position scheduled Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma plus 2 years of relevant training experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in education, human resources management, business or public administration, organizational development, or a related field OR a minor in a related field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant training experience, preferred.

Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-hire drug screen, MVR, and criminal background check.
- Must have a Texas driver's license, liability auto insurance, and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
