The Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA) Division of StarCare is in search of qualified, compassionate Service Coordinators seeking to make a difference in the lives of people.

- Provide assessment, service planning, coordination, and monitoring of services for people on assigned caseload.
- Conduct activities through face-to-face and telephone contacts with individuals, providers, family members/legal guardians.
- Assist people on assigned caseload to establish and/or maintain eligibility for services.
- Promote Person Centered Thinking and self-determination by educating individuals about rights, options, and choice.
- Complete and submit all required program documentation in accordance within the Local IDD Authority (LIDDA) Department’s designated timeframes.
- Ensure all activities support and promote StarCare's culture of hope and health.
Schedule: Full-time, non-exempt positions scheduled Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with flexibility to meet the needs of the program.
Compensation: $20.30/hour

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university, required.
- Major in a Human Services or related field (Sociology, Psychology, Family Studies, etc.), preferred.
- One (1) year of full-time experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- This position requires strong, detailed oriented writing skills.
- Must possess strong organizational skills, communication skills, and compassionate patience when interacting with individuals on caseload.
- Knowledge and skill in operating personal computer with Microsoft Office products is required.
- Position requires frequent travel within the service delivery area using personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement provided at the Agency’s approved rate.
- Must have current Texas driver’s license, liability car insurance, and be insurable under the Agency insurance.
- Center laptop computer and cell phone are provided.
- Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
